DIY Pressed Flower Ornaments (So Easy, It Barely Needs a Tutorial)
Every year, I try to come up with at least one simple Christmas craft to add something meaningful to our Christmas decor. These pressed flower ornaments might be the easiest project I’ve ever shared, truly just five minutes of crafting magic.

They look like something you’d find in a boutique or on Etsy, but you can make a whole batch for just about $1 each. My youngest daughter, Regan, hung hers on the little Christmas tree in her bedroom, and now she’s begging to make more!

If you want a sweet, inexpensive craft for a girls’ night, a kids’ activity, or thoughtful teacher gifts, these flower ornaments are absolutely perfect. You can make them even more meaningful by choosing the recipient’s birth month flower.

How to Make Pressed Flower Ornaments
Step 1 – Plan your designs
Lay out your pressed flowers on a table and play around with different arrangements on top of the acrylic tags.

Step 2 – Add adhesive
Remove the flowers and brush a thin layer of Mod Podge onto the acrylic tag.
Step 3 – Place the flowers
While the Mod Podge is still wet, set your pressed flowers in place. Use a craft brush to gently press the petals into the adhesive so they lay flat. Let dry.

Step 4 – Seal
Brush another thin layer of Mod Podge over the entire tag to seal everything. Let dry completely.

Step 5 – Add ribbon
Loop a ribbon through the tag’s hole and it’s ready to hang on your Christmas tree.

That’s it! The way the light shines through them they almost look like stained glass. Regan’s favorite of course is the one I made to look like Mickey Mouse.

These pressed flower ornaments are unbelievably easy but so beautiful, one of those little projects that feels fancier than the effort it takes. And since Etsy versions can cost around $8 each, it feels extra satisfying to make 48 of them for about $1 apiece.

They’re even better sprinkled across my daughter’s tree… and I’m pretty sure she’ll take all the credit for the ones she makes herself.
