President Donald Trump Response to Barron College Rumors
College is a complicated time for anyone, and particularly when you have many eyes on you. That’s the case with Barron Trump, US President Donald Trump’s youngest son. Barron, who last year attended the university’s Greenwich Village campus, where the Stern School of Business is based, and is currently attending classes at NYU’s Washington, D.C., campus, only a few blocks away from the White House.
Very recently, there were reports that he isn’t exactly fitting in. Kaya Walker, the former president of NYU College Republicans, told Vanity Fair that Barron was an “oddity,” who “goes to class” and then “goes home.” To be fair, there are plenty of people focused on their studies who don’t actually want to do anything else while at college, but perhaps this is not the expectation people had of Barron Trump.

According to the President, however, all is well. Donald Trump spoke about rumors that his son is struggling at NYU while golfing with his granddaughter, Kai. The words from the President came with a lot of scrutiny, particularly due to the latest government shutdown, which has left people paying a lot of attention to everything the President says. “How’s Barron doing at NYU?” Kai asked, to which he replied. “Good, he’s doing good,” adding, “He’s a good boy. He loves you.”
“He said, ‘Say hello to Kai, dad,’” Trump went on. “I said, ‘Why don’t you come out and watch [them play golf]?’ He said – She’s so cute.”
Kai Trump, who is Donald Trump Jr.’s oldest, also asked her grandfather when Barron’s classes would resume, to which he said Tuesday.
When it comes to Barron, reports that he is focused on his studies are actually pretty in line with what has been reported about him before. “Barron has been actively working on his own financial interests and has spent time with others who he is involved with in that area,” a source told People about the President’s youngest son.
Right after President Trump took office for a second time, Newsweek reported that Barron Trump was looking to start his own real estate company. Another source told People that he “wants to follow in his dad’s footsteps,” and that meant a focus on his business ideas, not necessarily dating or hanging out with friends. “He is interested in business in general, developing properties, making money and being involved in successful projects,” the source said. “He has his own ideas and understands what people of his age are looking for. He is quite entrepreneurial, bright and not shy about getting his own career in gear.”
However, recent reports from Page Six had also suggested the youngest member of the Trump family shut down an entire floor of Trump Tower in New York for a date, so clearly he’s finding time for other endeavors. The outlet also reported that, according to a fellow student, “He’s tall and awkward, but he was the thing, the guy. He had a lot of girls running after him.”
A source told People last year. “He’s at [NYU’s Stern School of Business] so he’s studying business in some way. He’s a ladies’ man for sure. He’s really popular with the ladies. He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive.”
So, it’s probably not all studying, even though he has stayed far away from anything government-related so far.
