This electric pot is very convenient for preparing quick meals, either steaming or boiling, awesome for hotpot and dimsum. The size is perfect for one person as it about 2 Qt volume.
The pot is plastic made in the exterior, the interior is thin metal with non-stick liner, it comes with a transparent plastic steamer and glass cover, and the pot can be used with or without the steamer.
It is very easy to use, just connect the included power cord to the pot, add the ingredients and turn it on. Or heat the pot and later add the ingredients. It has a switch with 3 positions, 0 for OFF, 1 or 2 for power ON. 1 is low power and 2 for high power. Just need to turn the knob to select the position. When the pot is in the ON position, a blue LED light will lit.
There many recipes you can prepare with the pot, very similar to a regular one plus steamer, just need to take into account that the cable will be attached most of the time and there will be no much freedom to move it around due to cable length.
As for the cleaning, this is the part that gets interesting, you need to be very careful not to wet the electric parts nor submerge in water. Sautéing or broiling can be done too but will require a more challenging cleaning and of course increase the risk of damage if water gets inside the electric compartment of the pot. Definitively cannot use in dishwasher. That’s the reason I only use for simple preparation foods, to make the cleaning faster.
Its important to note, that the power cable will be attached when in use and there will be electricity flowing from the electric outlet to the pot, so be careful when refilling water placing the pot below the faucet, do not do this, its better to use a separate glass or cup and refill the water with those.
These pots are very common in Asia, just need to know how to use it and be aware of all the safety precautions as well the care and maintenance.
For me it’s a very good product and very practical. few dishes that are difficult to make in a regular steamer, here is easier.

Electric hot pots like this are great to have around. I like that this one has a strainer insert and I like that the cable plugs into the pot rather than the handle like some others. I find myself mostly using the low setting as it is enough for what I typically use this for. It will heat up a tortilla pretty quick even on low. I am docking a star because when I got the unit 2 of the rubber feet were missing. Only one was attached and I found another in the box. The other two were nowhere in the box. They come off way too easily. I can fabricate some of my own but this is an annoyance that should be fixed.
